The biomedical engineer combines life sciences and physical sciences to create interesting new ways to deal with medical problems. Though they do many different things, essentially their job involves using engineering principles to both understand how the human body works, and also to design things to help with the medical treatment of disease. Some typical job duties may include designing programs for computers, making adjustments at work sites, teaching medical staff, and researching new theories.
This sounds like a ver interesting job, actually. I enjoy engineering and biology, so this could be a perfectly valid career option. I'll have to think about this one.
